"'night, mother" by marsha norman is the most famous 2 women full length play, i believe.
if you want to find more, go to www.dramatists.com and go to the "playfinder" option, then enter the criteria you want. it will give you the titles of all the plays owned by dramatists (thousands and thousands) that fit the criteria.
good luck.

A one act play ( it's a big long for a one act, but you can cut it) is Zoo Story. It's about a guy sitting on a bench in the zoo and another guy comes up with a story and begins to tell his tale. If you read the script, the genders are easily changed, and the script is incredibly compelling. If you want a more traditional piece, look at Waiting for Godot. Only two characters, can be female. It makes good scene work or a full production.

Unveiling, by Vackav Havel might be read as only having 2 characters, even though 3 are listed. I have read this play a few times, and I always wonder if Vera and Michael are really the only two characters. There is a 3rd, Ferdinand Vanek, but he seems unreal to me. I wonder if he is not really the concience of Vera and Michael. Or maybe Ferdinand represents a society that is opposed to Vera and Michael. I do not think he is an actual "person" in the play, though.

There are a number of them -- the first one that comes to mind starred Jessica Tandy and Hume Croynen, and I can't remember the name of it, but it was something like The Bedpost.
Check at your local library -- they will have numbers of plays available or contact Samuel Ffrench (that isn't a mis-print) who is one of the foremost play publishing companies in the country and ask for a catalogue of two-character plays.
Ffrench likely has a e-dress and you should be able to google or yahoo to find it.

i believe when it was on stage SLEUTH only had 2 actors.
It is a fun murder mystery.
It would be fun to adapt it to make the stars women.
An Alternate Universe version of Sleuth.
