Do you think that there would be less creepy sex offenders out there if it was legalized?

Please don't bother answering if you want to act all like, "Why are you asking this kind of question? Im better than you!!"

This is actually a real debatable topic that I've heard from different people over the years. It brings up a whole lot of opinions on both sides of the fence, even though its controversial.

If you don't like it - instead of saying something stupid and negative without merit give your reasons.

Same if you want to say someting positive.

If you want to know - I have Never Ever paid for sex ONCE in my life and I am not even close to having to ;)

I just wonder why there are so many freakoids out there - evn some posting freakoid questions on Yahoo Answers - Im sure you'll run across them.

Legalization of prostitution is safer for the prostitute and the client. The country benefits from the increased tax revenues. Prostitution will exist regardless of whether or not it is legalized so why not benefit and ensure safety? Sex offenders will exist regardless of legalized prostitution. Sex crimes are acts of violence and control and sex is simply a byproduct.

Personally I don't think there is anything wrong with making it legal.. it is in certain Nevada counties after all. I even think that it becoming legal would have advantages. First, if you regulate prostitution you can have medical regulations which would help lower the occurrences of STDs. Also, I think you would find less drug addiction if it were legalized. Once legalized it would be like any other commodity and probably would even fall under the laws on sales tax.

I'm a female and I'd never choose that line of work myself but I do think that sometimes the more you make something taboo the more people want it because it is taboo. Taking away the taboo status you now have made it as commonplace as anything else and less desirable to some.

It is legal in Nevada. They have a house there where girls can go for training.

But it is a good question. Think about it as you said. The only problem I see, is this, the STD's. But even though if it were made legal, you would still have some creeps out there. We still have people who are getting raped, no matter if it was paid for or not.

With all the porn that is out in the world, why do people have to look in windows?

This is a catch 22. Damned if yoou do and damned if you don't. Then you would have to have three different types of house. One for the gay people, one for women, and the one for men who only like women.
But do you think this would still stop the ones who like children? I don't. Someone would always ruin it for someone else.
What about priests who molest children in the church. Maybe they should get married? Do you think that would stop them? I t would be nice, but I don't know if it would ever happen in my life time.

So we go back to your question? Should it be made legal? It depends on the people. Then the other question would be, where would you have it. Small town people wouldn't like it around them. Then who is going to work there. If it was made in to a legal business, there has to be the rules. I don't know if wives would like there husbands going theire either. that's why I said it is a catch 22. All the do's and don'ts Who would benifit from it.

Yes, if it could be regulated. Getting shots, all the protection from STD's, and if it would help, why not. But sex today is so free as it is, why bother with making it legal. It's like the old saying "Why buy the cow, if you can get the milk for free" But this is my opinion, and maybe thhis is what you were looking for. It brings up different things to think about.
Good question and thanks for asking. Good luck with it.

Relax dude. Visit Holland where you can pay for regulated sex. Look outside of your own country. And who cares if you paid for sex or not. If you don't want to take a chance and see how people answer you than don't ask because you can't control anything here.

Regulated prostitution exists in the city of Amsterdam and it is pretty much legal in Thailand. It does NOT stop perverts. Many many pedophiles go to Thailand. It is sick.

It is better in Amsterdam where they get free medical treatment, health check ups, security, no pimps, and they are all adults but it will never stop sex freaks.

Yes, legalize it. Then make sure all the prostitutes get tested for disease on a regular basis, make them use protection, and tax the hell out of it. I think the only problem is, to do this would cost a lot of tax money. They could cover it with their own taxes, eventually, but it would put a big drain on the state budgets and what not until the money could reallly be tracked. I think they should legalize pot and do the same kind of thing, tax the hell out of it.

I think it's a good question for debate and should be considered seriously. We all know it exists, and has forever! If it was regulated it would cut disease risk, it would be safer for the women and protect their interests. Someone from Holland told me that regulating prostitution has cut down on crimes agains women in their country.

As to all the other stuff, you just have to ignore it.

The only reason prostitution is ILLEGAL is the Federal Govt can not tax it because it is self employment that a woman is not going to report.
