I love it, i love it, i love it!!!!!! From the singing, to the dancing, to the ZAC EFRON, it is the best disney channel original movie ever!!! wait, no, its the best movie ever!!! i love the songs and i know the dances! ITS GREAT!!!! and i also LOVE zac efron!!! can you say, hottest guy on earth????? yeahhhh! It wasn't really supposed to be that big...but it was! wow! its HUGE!!! Every time that is was on tv (11 times now) it was the most watched thing....more people watched it over all the big shows like Desperate Housewives, LOST, 24, etc. Everyone picked High School Musical instead of those!
Heres the plot outline:
Gabriella Montez is a shy, studious new student at East High School; but that all changes when she is forced to sing at a karaoke contest with Troy Bolton, the captain of the school's basketball team. After spending time with each other, both realize they share a passionate love for music and singing. But will they retain this love when their school is telling them they cannot be together?

loved this DCOM (for those of you who don't know what that is-Disney Channel Original Movie)! I went in expecting to find Zac Efron annoying-but no! He was great! He was charming and funny and sweet! Although AShley TIsdale was a wonderful actor and dancer, she was not the best singer in the film. Lucus Grabeel was wonderful! He is so talented! He is an amazing dancer and singer and is hilarious! Although the girl who played Gabriella's voice was annoying, i guess she worked for the character. She was my least favorite. Corbin Bleu was great. The music is great and you will want to buy the soundtrack right away! The choreography was great as well! One of my favorite scenes was the one in the lunch room with all the singers and dancers. It made me want to be in the movie and be a part of that scene! This is one of my favorite DCOMs (along with the following which you should try-going to the mat, the other me, and tru confessions)!!
anyways! I loved HSM bot only because Zac Efron but also it had a great message: "We're all in this together!". i think that Vanessa Anne Hudgens has a very beautiful voice and i hate ashley tisdales voice though.
Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Anne Hudgens were both offered record deals.....and they took them!!!! so we'll soon be seeing their albums. And Zac Efron was offered a record deal too by SIMON COWELL!!!!! but Zac said, "No, i think i would like to stick with acting for now but i will call you back in a couple years." YES!!!!!

It was sooo.... Cheesey I mean no boy is going to sing musical during Basketball practice and then ask his team "Should I go for it?" It's just down right stupid. and there is no way that their is a girl that pretty, nice, smart, and can sing, and act. it's just... just... just.... Errrrrrrrrrrrrr. It's was a waste of money bying that movie!

intense college Musical is stupid. My pal is obsessed so at the same time as she watches it I actually could as well, although the full time i hit upon it extremely stupid. some songs are exciting, no longer the full action picture.

i luv high school musical its a great movie yet at times its really unrealistic

It is an ok Disney Channel movie.They've had BETTER and they have had much WORST
