how about getting a star named after him. Many sites offer this at a reasonable price and you get a certificate with all the star details.. Hope this helps and good luck.

A little plaque like they present to athletes with all the stats......
DATE NAME pastors name a little quote and a photo on it along with a gift certificate so the family knows what you are doing and if they want something special inscribed. I also love shadow boxes to display the christening gown in next to the plaque. you can arrange the clothing how you want and don't need to worry about it getting dusty, My 2ND son wore the same outfit my first had worn we took photos of them both in it at 1 month and shadow boxed the outfit and hung it between the photos its so sweet and most people don't know who is who!!!

One unique gift we received for our wedding was a framed invitation that we sent out. I don't know if your received an invitation or not, but we liked receiving ours framed. We have it hanging in our bedroom even after 20 years.

Video tape the christening and edit it or have it edited with music and a slide show of stills taken at the event. I like to record the news and entertainment news shows and put short items from those recordings in my videos.

It snowed the day my daughter was born and there was a mention on the news of bad traffic on a highway near us due to the snow. These things help you remember what happened on the day of the event, years after it happens.

What about making a time capsule for baby? Put little envelops in it as well as photographs and a print of baby's feet. Also nowadays people move about a lot so what i did for a friend was put a little bit of dry soil from the place he was born, dried flowers from the garden, and his birthdate newspaper with a lovely stone i picked up. I cleaned it first then printed his name and d.o.b on it before varnishing it and as i live in Ireland ... I added a leprechaun for luck.

My friend was highly delighted told me it was the most original present she'd received and knew her baby boy would love it as they were moving to the UK.
