Doctor Who is the last of an alien race called Timelords who used to reside on the planet Gallifrey (in the constellation of Kasterborus approx 250 million light years from Earth). At some point in the Doctor's existence (more than likely after the events of "The Enemy Within" but before "Rose") the Doctor was forced to destroy Gallifrey in order to defeat the Daleks in the "Time War" (a decision that he has been wrestling with ever since).

I think your problem was that The main text of your previous question was " Who is your favourite Doctor?"
I think most of the people who answered failed to note the additional comment specifying Doctor Who.
To answer this question (although I did not answer your previous question). Yes I do know what Doctor Who is. And I am going to miss Rose when she leaves the show in a few weeks.

Doctor Who is a Time Lord who flies through time in a Tardis (Police box),to save the world.He has an electic type device that opens door and destroys things.Its om BBC1 in the Uk @ roughly 19.00hours.

If you mean the programme it is a sci fi show that has been going since the late sixties.
If you mean what race is the doctor, he is a timelord (the very last one).

if you want tio know what Doctor Who is it is above.But if yoiu want to know what the doctor is nobody is sure.but if you watch one of the last episodes,a monster zaps his hand but the doctor makes his hand come back.That may be a clue...

its a lame sci fi show thats recently been revived with a new series, as it was originally a 80's or 90's sci fi thingy with crap graphics n effects
