Trey I honestly was thinking about that, that the big bang was god dieing, and as a last will in testment, so to speak, he created his children to carry on in the universe, and I agree with the person who said the sons of gods, and in geneisis, you actaully here lord says lets make man in our image, and in our likeness, then god created man in his image. Another thing I would like to point out is the fact that he put the tree in edan, what for, so says its a test, and maybe it is, you hear the story of hurcules, and how he eventaully became a god, could this be our fate, why put something there if you dont want us to have, I think he wanted us to work for it, and he was going to help us, but we disobade him, so now we have so many thought in our head, we can hear god anymore, so he cant help us ace this test.

I suggest reading "God's Debris" by Scott Adams. It poses an interesting theory that the only challenge for an omnipotent God would be the challenge of destroying himself, this act was the big bang, and that we, and the rest of the universe are God's debris....It also says that the reason we are evolving and becoming more advanced is because God is in the process of reassembling himself.

Eating from the tree of knowledge made us god-like. Not half god. It was done in disobedience to God's command to Adam and Eve. Just look at all the "junk" man has created since. It is that Knowledge that is leading humanity to ruin.

The tree of life was the other tree in the garden of eden, which would have made humans immortal. With this tree of life being in the neighborhood (in the garden) is probably why God chased Adam and Eve away to go till the soil.

Uhm, are you talking about the tree from which adam and eve shouldn't eat from in paradise (Genesis)? Your question is a bit vague / gramatically incorrect / Confusing. Please elucidate.
.
Nordic mythology also mentions a tree which sorta represents the universe, called Yggdrasyl (not sure about the spelling).
.
It's funny to note that the genesis often refres to 'Gods' in the plural, and there's even a sentence that goes something like "...and the sons of gods found beauty in the daughters of men and married them...."

cheers
