Any recommendation for learning belly dance in Middle East Area?

Hi there, do you know is there any good belly dancing academy in Middle East Area providing professional belly dance training? I am doing some weekly based bally dance course in Australia recently, I wanna explore my knowledge and learn the dance more intensively like everyday full time for at least a few months. Or, any other countries having such kind of performing academy? Thanks!!

Best places would be Beirut or Cairo. Beirut is the most open society. Contact the Caracalla Dance Company, just as a start for help. I don't know whether they take students without audition. They are outstanding. Beirut also has pretty reliable yellow pages. You could also contact a high end hotel like the Phoenicia or the Al-Bustan (the latter is in Beit-meri, a mountain town outside of Beirut), which has nightclubs with belly dancers or occasional (sold-out) shows with famous Middle-Eastern dancers, and ask if they can put you in touch with them. Be wary of other night clubs where sometimes so-called belly dancers are expected to do unorthodox stuff. In Beirut, some high end Gyms also offer belly dancing classes. Cairo is the capital of belly dancing, but I am not familiar with it. I took belly dancing in Philadelphia with a woman named Habiba. She keeps in touch with instructors in the Middle East.
