I have a Toshiba lap top, Windows 98. I bought it off the internet for $45.00 because it has a slight defect. I am new at computers and don't have a manual to look things up. Appreciate your help!

The digital camera probably connects to the computer via a USB port. If the laptop doesn't have a usb port you need to get a PCMCIA card that can provide it. It would help if you posted the model of the laptop.

It's also possible that the camera you have (or plan on getting) doesn't support Windows 98.

Strictly speaking there's little difference in compatibilty of a desktop and a laptop from the same era.
