Apprx. 1/2 yrs ago, we began to lose money in our homebuilding contracting business. Poor record keeping didn't help. Any ideas on where to go from here. Our contractors will no longer extend credit and our credit cards are maxed out. Our bills far exceed our income. We are seeking jobs, applying for more home mortgaging, etc.

Detemine how to start a Small Business Adminstration loan. You be the President. Prepare a portfolio detailing what you want to your buisness to be, projcted profits within the next five to ten years, specualte on outward grothe and power point is excellent because men like what they SEE. FIND something you can do to get this started. Women are the minority and lenders in conjuntion with the government are subsidizing these efforts from women. Sit down and make a list of likes/dilikes. Once you have found your niche, do it. Find lenders who specialize in SBA loans. Once you get it rolling, contact your creditors, mame a way to pay them and ultimately ask that this "spot" be removed from your credit score. You can do it. Everyone has talent. Good luck.
