We have a lot of presence already and in surrounding countries. Could we take over some of these countries and control them? I personally think it would be possible and we could also eliminate the religion of islam while we are at it. Your views?

Possibly, but considering how well the US is not doing in Iraq, I doubt any such program would be much of a success.
And to eliminate the religion of Islam, it would be necessary to convert and/or kill about a billion people. That sounds like work to me.

Ya bet it could happen, heck I heard a report that U.S. Officials once threatened to drop a Nuclear Bomb on Mecca.
I doubt that Mecca would ever get nuked but I do know for sure that the United States has the power to nuke Mecca if the United States ever really wanted to.

Yup, the US can nuke the world 30 times over if it wanted to. And if we wipe out Islam, maybe those terrorists would finally lay down their arms and stop killing people.
