I think it's because they work so much that what little vacation time they have is spent on a break neck pace taking pictures of some place they can later enjoy at their leisure back home in between working hours.

same reason any body does.. its a COOL TOY! is a fashion trend, shows others u got money..Its HIGH TECH! .. plus, u get to capture all those moments of friends goofin off and what not.
