File a missing person report on your children. The police are going to tell you it's a civil matter, but do not take no for an answer. Also file a request for the welfare of a minor on your children with your local Dept. of Human Services. This is all dependent on the state and local laws. No law in the United States allows children to be used as a weapon. The person who files the papers first has a leg up on the other party. Do allow yourself to be painted as the bad person. File paperwork with every person you can and get a lawyer, but remember the lawyer works for you. If the lawyer is Mr. or Mrs. nice guy that's not what you want. You need someone who is going to fight for your rights as a parent.

Go to family court immediately!! Probably, if you can afford it, would be best to have a lawyer put the right papers in for you but you need legal rights and pronto!!! There is also an organization of fathers that are grouping together to know your rights and would probably help you too!!! I am sorry you are in this situation but it is best, to do something quickly because without anything legally written, makes it all the more difficult. Your wife, regardless of what she has done and don't know your circumstances with your marriage, need to put the children first. The kids are probably very confused as to why they can't see Dad, and if you saw them daily, and have been involved then shame on her for taking them from you!!! We'll keep you in our thoughts, good luck!!!

Unfortunately, since nothing is in court yet, whoever has possession of the kids becomes the boss. When my husband's first wife did that to us, I spent $40,000 to get him visitation through the court.

Keep a journal on the missed visitation for the court indicating the length of time you have been without your kids. Be the first to file for divorce and get temporary visitation court ordered, unless you want to file for shared or full custody. If she files first, you will probably have to fight for your rights.

If she calls you, record her conversation. If she is a b i t c h you can let the judge hear her attitude. I used my tapes for evidence in Texas.

Hire a private detective to find her and the kids so she can be served court papers. It only took me about 8 hours to find my stepchildren with a detective for $500. They were 1000 miles away in Florida and we had her served there.

I wish I could help you with this situation. It's expensive, that's for sure. Good Luck!

Seems to me you need to hire a private investigator and then a lawyer. Then when the time comes you can sue her for costs. She abandon you.

Remember that everything is for awhile. Keep a cool head and in time, what you want to know will be in the palm of your hands.
