Whenever i go up to a guy that i like i usually end up doing or saying something stupid. How can i try to prevent that cause it is becoming a big problem for me the more i try to say that more i embarrese my self and i can't see my self with the guy trying to talk to him without making him want to leave. What do guys like to talk about and what are they intrested in?

Me.
Ask guys about themselves. Listen. When it's your turn to talk, tell him about your feelings, be honest, but make your point and stop. Then ask him questions about things he's talked about and listen some more.

Just relax. Don't get all tangled up in your panties. Remember that guys are just as nervous around girls that they like, too.
Also, you said " i can't see my self with the guy trying to talk to him without making him want to leave" - that's a self-image problem you've got to drop. Instead, practice the habit of thinking "I am so fine, only the very best guys deserve to talk to me, and I am so cool, I am relaxed and I know how to use pauses and silence to make the guy squirm"
Have fun with that.
p.s. If he's interested in you, it doesn't really matter what you say.

Guys like to talk about themselves. Don't try so hard. Just say hi, Ask him a few simple questions and let him do the talking until you get to know him better. It is the fear of the unknown that makes you nervous. Good luck

Take a deep breath before you walk up to him, and say to yourself that you are not going to say anything stupid, and that you can do this. Practicing in front of the mirror helps. For me to even speak a word to the guy I like i had to practice in front of the mirror. Sounds lame, doesn't it? But it actually works. Don't stop talking to him. I know that some of my friends stop talking to the guys that they were interested in because they kept saying stupid things in front of them, and did't;t ever go out with those guys. If you keep talking to him, you will get eventually become comfortable to talking around him.......with my guy it turns out that he had been planing to ask me out for months but ever time he tried he lost his courage. I didn't find that out until after I talked to him for three weeks, because after that three weeks I got so tired of waiting for him that I just asked him out........we've been happily dating for four days! I hope everything goes great for you & don't forget to practice!!!!!!!!!!! Ever heard that saying Practice makes Perfect? (if I had a dime for evertime my mother said that to me I wouldn't have to work for the rest of my life....lol....but I've learn that it works)

Just be yourself. If you're doing something funny, the guy can laugh instead laughing at you because it's stupid. Then he's not your guy.
