join a good football team. I'm a scout and go 5 matches a day. then try to apply for the Gary Neville school of soccer it has many scouts looking for talent. Blackburn has the best opportunities!

Im afraid that by 17 if your not allready signed by a football league team then you probably dont have a future as a footballer as most pro footballers are spotted and signed up before they even leave school.
This may be the case for you as a 14 yr old too....if you have not been to a trial then you are running out of time....just look at Theo Walcott for instance hes only 17 but hes allready had 2 Pro clubs(Southampton and Arsenal) and is now in the England squad in Germany...Sorry to break it to you but!!!!

Get a PS2 and buy Fifa 2007 then you can create yourself as a player and play not just in the Premiership but at World class level too.

dont train in the gym too much as this can cause problems for you.trying to lift weights that are too heavy will cause your muscles to rip - so by all means go to a gym but dont over do it.

practice playing loads of football. use a tennis ball or a smaller ball as this will help improve your control.

watch football and try to learn the game. some of the greatest players arent infact wonderfully skillful - they just understand where to be and what to do at the right time.

if you are deadly serious then you will have to avoid all temptation - beer , women , late night , drugs - all of these will prevent you from playing professionally.

last but not least - your diet. avoid mcdonalds and the chinese takeaway. you can get more info on the internet.

hope this helps - if you make remember us who helped and give us a nicely paid job!!

Go to your local club and ask if they'll let you take trials. They'll then tell you if you got what it takes
