I'm looking for somewhere to go that is romantic, relaxing and fun too! I live on the West Coast and don't want to go across the world but want to enjoy the vacation in a warm, beach atmosphere.

CABO SAN LUCAS IS EASY TO GET TO FROM THE WEST COAST.
PLAYA DEL CARMEN MEXICO WITH A CHANGE IN DALLAS OR HOUSTON IS EASY TO GET TO.
I will not recommend specific places. I suggest you contact a local travel agent. They are the experts at advising based on your budget and needs. Keep mom and pop agencies in business.

I'll second Cabo San Lucas. Resorts are excellent, perfect for doing nothing. Shopping in Cabo and in San Jose (only about 20 minute drive).

Try out that place in indonesia where the sunami hit Christmas time 2 years ago....
I bet its cheap and safe......
