I'm 22 years old and I live in a small town. I volunteer occasionally , but I don't feel fulfilled. I get lonely sometimes b/c I only have a few friends. Most of my friends don't even live near me. I would like to meet someone who lives near me whether it be a boy or a girl. I'm not employed right now nor am I in school. I try to find different things to keep me busy, but it requires me to spend my money and I don't have much. In addition, I also need to lose weight . I'm not fat , but I'm not skinny also. I've been cheating on my diet for the past month. I have no attempts to check on the scale. Please help me???

If you want to get out and you're concerned about your weight, look into outdoor activities that will help you socialize and lose weight at the same time.

Maybe there are trails for hiking close by... if so, someone may be looking for a hiking partner. Check local newspapers. You might find someone looking for a partner for any number of things, canoeing, hiking, or maybe just someone to fish with.

You're young, so any weight you've put on will still peel off easy. Don't worry much about that, but do change your current eating habits and, ideally, combine healthier eating with exercise. No matter how many fad diets come and go, that's still the only tried and true way to lose weight and keep it off.

Maybe you can put an ad in the local personals! Just looking for a friend, someone to hang out with, whatever you want to write. See what happens. Good luck!

Set goals for your future, get a real job, and at the same time you'll be meeting new and interesting people. Then, you'll find you'll be overwhelmed with things to do.

Take walk and while your walking take pictures to keep yourself engaged. You could start a volunteer group and meet people that way.

Get a job. Then you'll have more money, get some more exercise, and have something to do. Best wishes
