I'm basically getting ready to jump into a job with a trait because i've had a real run of bad luck with money to stay in school.

But me and a buddy want to open an entertainment place just outside Chicago. A paintball, laser tag entertainment place. Perfect location, to as all roads to it lead to and from the city, and just about every suburb in the area, wealthy and otherwise.

but you need money to make money. we want to look into property investors. We're smart, hard workers, but without any real education what are the chances of us jumping into entrepreneunership, and convincing investors we'd be, well, a good investment? or is our lack of schooling gonna kick us while we're down?

I think you should become a walrus farmer.I think that would be a great choice for someone of your hairiness.I think it would seriously help make you money and you could even make coats for Dan.I think walrus farming is a great, healthy, and respectful choice for someone of your nature. If you don't like walruses you can try and breed pigs to make green pork chops. That would be phenomenal.

Hello there, shiller1... has some great points. The fact that you're 15 and is thinking about entrepreneurship is indeed extraordinarily. You also have a ton of time to "learn" about business by doing. Back to your point about going with the boring route with the boring degree, you should at least see what's out there. I realize that at your age, you don't know what you're good at nor know what you want to do. The best thing I can think of is listen to interviews of entrepreneurs, meet some, and then figure it out by doing. I listed a few interviews I have done on my site, which by the way is for teen entrepreneurs like yourself. The interviews I do are mostly with young people because that's the ones we relate to the best.

Your lack of schooling will certainly not keep you down. What will make you or break you is your willingness to sweat, grind, and tolerate headaches. Just to see if you are willing to do these things, which most people at first say they are, you need to write a business plan. It's something you need to do to get financing. You should also do it for yourselves even if you do not. It's about 50 pages of detailed documentation regarding your business, costs of startup, costs of running, time it will take to recoup your investors money, where you will sell, how you will market, it's pretty much endless. If you can take this first step, the rest will just be really hard work. Good luck.

Your lack of academic qualifications shouldn't affect anything. However, you will need to give a complete and comprehensive presentation when appealing to investors. Use your drive and motivation to leave no stone unturned and produce as indepth a presentation as possible, as if you get the opportunity to speak to an investor it'd be unprofessional not to have all the answers.

Not ALL successful entrepreneurs have a "good" education. You could invent something people really want or need and never have graduated the 8th grade.

You would have to write a business plan, show em you're serious and thought about the details.

Its not necessarily the education!
many people have proved it already.
Its their burning desire coupled with
need for achievement brings the result!
