England has managed multi culturism very well - our history is built on it, and that is our strenghth
I can't say which is better because each country has it's good points and its bad points.
Depends where in England you live. If its in the North then the people are friendly the pubs are welcoming and the welcome is warm
What infuriates me is that whenpeople visit London, they think that is England and it is only a small part of it.
They don't see the Moors and the Dales and the Lakes and the real england or english culture.

Certainly looks like you've got some thing against Americans you've asked quite a few questions along this line!!
You have one thing right England is small, very very small and also totally insignificant, why do you think Americans should give a sh** what you think??
I'm glad you made it clear you were just speaking for England and not the rest of the UK!! The rest of the UK know for a fact that we are better than the English !!

In what way is England better than America? This is a question that would be posed by a child after a visit to a doting grandmother in England.

Maybe it's just the laid back attitude?
We've already had our empire, we lost it, learnt from our stupid mistakes, got almost bombed off the face of the earth in World War Two, been there, done that, bought the T shirt etc etc...and now it seems we are just chilling a bit. ;o)
But saying that, it is a bizarre question to ask! Our National Health Service is awful, we have a public transport network of a Second World country, and a creepy Prime Minister...

That's a generalisation. I'm English and I live here but my husband is American and I spend a lot of time over there.
There are good things about both countries and things we could learn from each other.

Because you have more Welsh and Scots than we do. We, on the other hand, got stuck with all the frkn Micks that England didn't murder.

Just 'Small is beautiful' ... or something like that. Depends who's asking, actually.
No doubt you will get some long diatribe. And you will be asked to define 'better' or told that it's 'just your opinion'.
