At times I will hear a really cool, relaxed voice that sets my soul at ease. This is major attraction for me - but I wonder if this is scientificially proven? Am I the only one?

Is there a case study on this? It is possible. Do you need a case study to believe it? No. You already answered your own question. You are obviously attracted to how certain individuals sound when they speak. That is proof in itself.

Yes it is true especially the voice of a baby it is prov-en that the note soft c is the most attractive to the human ear and some say even all species but for sure humans try it and all mothers and fathers and other children agree or even adults that are not related to the child will also be attracted by the baby's sigh or even whimper it is well documented!

I don't think something so obvious needs to be scientifically proven. Companies usually try to get people with nice voices to speak in their commercials, and newscasters and such are trained to speak as accentless as possible. So whoever decides whose voices go on TV obviously knows they can affect their listeners.

(Speaking of which, there's few voices I like more than Patrick Stewart's. He's all old and bald and stuff, but he's got a nice voice. :P)

No i don't think so, because in counseling practices its also the tone of the voice that reassures the client.
I also like the sound of a nice voice it is soothing.
