ok, I am 32 weeks pregnant today and this is my fourth baby. I don't remember exactly when i lost my plug with the other ones but i thinkit was closer to about 2 weeks before i had them. Well this mornign i lost it and it was a big clump with lots of blood in it. I was just wondering if anyone else lost theirs this early and if it could mean the baby is coming early??Thanks for your replies....

i lost mine at 30 wk but i didnt know it. Because it was my first pregancy. I went in to labor a week later. My doctor said if i would have said something then they could have given me steriods to devolp the babys lungs and get ready for a premature birth. He was born 3lbs 5oz but he is very health now i would let your doctor know so you can get prepared if the baby comes early

With my first daughter I didnt lose my mucus plug until I was actually in labor. I would suggest making an appointment with your doctor just to be safe. 32 weeks would be cutting it really close to have that baby. His/Her lungs wouldn't be fully developed and would have serious breathing troubles.

Yes it could be a sign that labor is coming. I would contact your doctor immediately, especially since there was blood in it. I don't think it's normal for blood to be in it.

Call your doctor. When I lost mine, it was right around the time of delivery. I had three and each child came a little sooner for me.

Ooooohhhh, you need to get off the 'puter and go get yourself checked out - since it's Saturday, go to the emergency room of whatever hospital you are going to deliver at, and be sure they call your obstetrician!
