It depends on what is making you unhappy.
If your problem is with your colleagues bullying you then you should ask the HR dept for advice. If you do not have a HR dept speak with your supervisor.
If your problem is hating the work itself then you should determine what qualifications you need for the sort of work you would like and start studying. You do not have to leave your job, you can study at night school or by correspondence. Now is a good time to enroll on courses as they normally start in Sept.
Knowing that within a year or two you'll be qualified to start the career you want, will make the meantime more bearable.
By the way - everyone hates their job, that's why we get paid to do it.

Been there. Done that.

Ok, first get over the idea that you can't leave. Of course you can. It may have consequences you don't like, but you can leave. Just try to be open to the idea that you might be able to leave one day.

Second, since you can't leave just yet, how can you make your job more tolerable? Is there anything that you can enjoy? Co-workers? Opportunity to get into the zone? There must be something. Try to focus on that. Also, try to adjust your perception of your job because you're there right now. I.e., think of it as a stepping stone, or a learning opportunity.

Third, think about what you WANT TO DO as opposed to what you DON'T want to do. This tends to be the hardest for people, but the irony is that they usually know the answer and have talked about it with people before, but have always discounted it in the past. Forget about thinking in terms of jobs, think in terms of skills and interests and passions. I.e., do you like helping people? do you like to organize? do you like routine? are you good working with your brain or your hands? are you creative?

Once you figure this out, be open to opportunity. I.e. does someone tell you about another job? Do you meet someone who does what you might want to do. The point is to start moving in the direction you want to go. This will open up more possibilities for you so that you can leave your job.

find another job and you CAN leave. There is no reason other than money, that you cannot leave your job. You may have to work, but you do not have to work there, especially if you are that unhappy with it.

PUt your resume together and start looking at a site called www.indeed.com and start looking for something else.
