I don't believe there are any EASY ways to make money. But here's a strategy you could consider. Talk to your parents about launching a homebased business. If they did that, one of the advantages is they could hire you as an employee, pay you up to $480 per month (the money they spend to support you for example) and make that more than $4000 annual payment tax free. They deduct it as a business expense. You don't pay taxes because you are younger than 18. This way, you can write your own job description; do something you truly enjoy; get paid and help your parents make some extra money too. By the way,you can work this arrangement until your 18th birthday.

Babysitting or mowing lawns. When I was 13 I lived in the middle of nowhere and worked for an old couple down the road who had a farm.

Sales...make and sell unique jewelry.
Some Flea markets hire 13 yr olds to work on the weekends.
Babysitting...if you are responsible and friendly. Look at the YMCA for Babysitting training class. It is very inexpensive, and lets parents know you take the responsibility seriously.

There are a lot of things a 13 year old could do. They could babysit, lawn& garden work, clean neighbors houses. If they are really good in a certain subject they could tutor younger children. Young teens could also get involved in bake sales. This is always fun. If he/she is good at fixing things, he could become the little "handyboy(girl)" for the family and neighborhood. (ex: fixing appliances, computers, leaky pipes ect.) If your child is interested in selling things, he could get involved in a sales club for kids. Hope this Helps!

When i was 13 i delivered a daily newspaper before going to school. This was a perfect job as it didnt take up any of my valuable free time after school and at the time was decent money.Added bonus you walk or bike everyday so you are getting excersise at the same time.
