Until we change our habits. If people started car pooling and bought what they needed in one trip instead of 20 and they didn't jump in a car to drive to blocks. When people stop buying so much gas the prices will come down. I know not everyone can carpool but they can do other things like pick up groceries on
the way home. Plus we can push for alternative fuels there is progress being made in that field.

I don't see enough people dumping their guzzling SUV's yet, so obviously the pain threshold is much greater than that currently being experienced at the pump.

That Alaskan Wildlife Refuge drilling proposal is looking pretty good about now, eh liberals? Until we get additional refining capacity, alternative fuel resources (how about all those anti-nuke wizbangs out there), get used to it fellas.

Give it a few years. You ain't seen nothing yet. China is just getting started and when they start draining supply, or supplies are re-directed to alternative buyers (incl. a growing India) by anti-U.S. suppliers, brace yourselves for a bit of sticker shock.

Until they become more educated, and stand up for them selves like American's of this country (USA) did long ago in history.

There is no change with out voices, and bold action.

(or you could go at it on it's own, BIO-Desil! YEh! LOL... but I live in an apt and I don't have a desil vehicle to begin with... instead I got a SCOOTER Yeah!)

Who cares about GAS at the pump when we could pick fom SO much more at the pump!

::: Peace :::

As long as SUV sales continue to do well, gas stations have a much more demanding market and can raise their prices accordingly. Honestly, as a Civic driver, I hope gas goes up to $10 a gallon, it would certainly make us consider alternative fuel sources and *god forbid* maybe some people will finally realize that they don't need a lifted H2 to drive them and only them around the city.

As long as they buy the Oil.

I often say that I wish the people who claim the War is about Oil would go Amish instead of being big time whiners.

as long as we are at war,you can count on higher prices at the pump and who knows whats gonna happen with iran,anytime there is tension in the middle east,we pay for it through the pump.if you dont like gas prices,take a bus or walk,or we could drill in alaska,but oh no,there would not be enough money in that for big oil,so we are stuck like chuck.

Until we're willing to put the car in the driveway and we start walking, riding bikes, or using public transportation. As long as we continue to buy the product at the price that they are charging us, it will continue to go up. What would be the incentive for them to bring it down?

Just what do you think the people are going to do, quit their jobs, sell their car and stay home. Maybe get a horse and buggy. We are trapped within the system. Short of a nationwide strike such as France, which will never happen here. (Lack of gonads.)

Well, since we're a country of suburbanites, I guess it will be a long, long time. Urban sprawl has sort of limited our alternatives for transportation.
