but how do I view my list of favorites? Do I have to manually add them to folder in firefox? This would be time consuming.

mouse over to the "BOOKMARKS" and click the left mouse button! All your "favorites" are actually BOOKMARKS!
Imagine that!

Favorites menu in firefox is not named (favorites) ,,but,,, It is called bookmark menu,, so u will find your imported favorites under the bookmarks title in the left upper bar

Click bookmarks on the top of the page
They should be there if you imported them.
