The easiest and greatest way is get involved helping someone else. When you're concerned with someone else's wellbeing, your own worries and boredom seem to disappear. Go and visit someone at the hospital, volunteer at an old folks home, help someone learn a new skill, work with "challenged" kids or just do little things for someone who needs you, like raking up the leaves off a neighbour's yard, or shoveling snow for a senior. There's lot to do, and many people who need you, if only you are willing.

Well, I work full-time and also take care of 3 boys, 2 dogs, and a husband. Not much time for boredom. Something always needs done. As a matter of fact, I need to get of the Internet and get some work done right now.
I guess surfing the net is a big past-time for a lot of people.
