Some medications such as Coumadin and corticosteroids can cause easy bruising. Whether or not you are not on any medications that may be responsible for this, it's probably a good idea to have your physician to check this out to make sure there is nothing underlying going on such as fragile blood vessel walls or problems with clotting factors or platelets. Clotting factors/platelets are used by the body to help us from bleeding excessively and if the levels of these are not up to par, then bleeding can occur underneath the skin which we see as a bruise. Also, as we age, we also become more susceptible to bruising because we have "thinner skin", so bruising is also more likely. You doctor can explain this to you more in details. In any event, I would definitely see doc about this to avoid any potential complications later on.

Some people bruise more easily then others, but if you think that you bruise more than anyone should, and that its a problem, I would talk to your health care provider, it could be from a blood problem, some diseases that could include bruising easily are,
Bleeding disorders
Hemophilia
Von Willebrand's disease
Ehlers-Danlos syndrome
Immune disorder
Leukemia
Aplastic anemia
Disseminated intravascular coagulation
Scurvy
So if you think you bruise way to much, it would be worth getting checked out.

You need to eat more bioflavanoid and vitamin c rich fruits and vegetables. That's going to help your cell walls and capillaries produce the collagen they need to be strong. You also should avoid NSAIDs, e.g. aspirin, ibuprofen, because they severely weaken the cardivascular system, making it more likely you will bleed and bruise.

I'm the same. And when they try to take blood it's a problem. It's to do with thin vein walls which collapse easily, doesn't mean you're in bad health otherwise.
