Your best bet is to not listen to anything at all while you study. (That's scientifically proven!)
But if you like Led Zeppelin, try studying to some of their really, really long songs like Kashmir, White Summer/Black Mountain Side, No Quarter, For Your Life, and the Rain Song. If you like GNR (not very soothing in the first place) try Patience and Estranged.
For artists, try Santana (great guitar player, lots of solos), Stevie Ray Vaughn, U2, the White Stripes, Arab Strap, Blue Oyster Cult, Coldplay (VERY VERY good for studying), the Eagles, and the Grateful Dead.
Hope you find something you like!

It's best to listen to a band you don't really know that well, so you aren't as distracted. If you like Zep and Gn'R, try something like the Eagles. A bit quieter, probably not as well known to you, and a great band none the less.

Your best bet, is a music genre that has no words, and will help you concentrate, rather than distract you.
