I'm doing a stand-up comedy routine at a theater company tonight (within 5 hours). Even though I've practiced a lot, I'm starting to get a little nervous, and I wanted to know what other people do to calm themselves.

DON'T! that nervous feeling puts you in a peek state of mind and will boost your ability's to top form, and will be gone the second you start your performance, what's left is a sharp mind and adrenalin

Practice breathing exercises. Stay off the caffeine before performing. Mentally allow yourself to focus on what you're doing not what's going on around you.

before big meetings, i take a benadryl, it calms me down but does not leave me foggy headed....and congrats on the show...break a leg, dude
