i am not a doctor, but may have some ideas for you to think about.
Do you happen to drink a lot of soda, or consume a lot of sugar or sodium?
I went to my doctor with a similar complaint a few years back, thinking I had a hernia or something, because it was so unusually tight. (My doctor suggested sit ups!!!! Whatever! Fat is flabby!)
Anyway, when i cut soda out of my diet, the "swelling" went down in a matter of a few days. Whenever I eat or drink something with lots of sugar or salt, the same thing happens.

Like I said, this may not apply to you at all...so definitely make an appointment with your doctor, expecially if you are having other symptoms.
Good luck, and I hope all is well!

It sounds like you really need to see the doctor.
