P.S. Name any one piece of architecture from the Middle East that is non-Islamic and is recognized as a "national monument", also name any one non-Muslim person in a Government position of power in the Middle East. The reason is simple: I dont have an attitude problem, you have a perception problem - the powers that be, are biased TOWARDS ISLAM , not the other way around.

I see bullshit answers like this one: I think no state should have an official religion myself. So if others do, two wrongs don't make a right. -> Wrong, two wrongs make sure another wrong isnt done. It doesnt make it right, but it makes sure wrong does not repeat.
What I suggest is that, India must declare that its official religion is Hinduism, that doesnt mean otres should be "cleansed" but if imagine India had been a Islamic state, first thing they would do is kill all the non-Islamists, just as they do in Smoalia and Sudan. So I am saying India must assert its Hindu identity, Taj Mahal is NOT the national monument and should be removed from all government references. Government holidays only for Hindu festivals, Positions of power can only be held by Hindus, in short, just copy Saudi Arabia as a model everything they do , they are saying the Koran is the law, so we must say the Ramayana or the Gita is the law.

If you want India to be a Hindu state, then what you do is argue for it on its own merit, if you can find any that is. I think no state should have an official religion myself. So if others do, two wrongs don't make a right.
But my real problems with your question is, 1) Why are you comparing what America does to what in your mind Muslim countries do? America is not a Christian/religious state, even if most Americans are Christian. 2) Your facts are so blatantly wrong. First of all, many Palestinians are Christians and have been granted citizenship in other Arab countries. I am one of them. There are many of them in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, Egypt, Iraq. Second, what the heck you're talking about, no national monument that is not Muslim is recognized in the Arab World? Do the Egyptians claim the pyramids or not? Do they say that Muslims built them? Do you know how many Greek and Roman temples the Syrians pride themselves with and attract tourists with? Aren't there recognized Chaldean sites in Iraq?
Do you want to "cleanse" India from Muslims? For what it's worth, most people do think of the Hindus having their region, and it is India. A few of the other religions don't make it non-Hindu.

The Palestinians hate America because of the hundreds of millions of dollars that America has given to Isreal which was earmarked FOR BUILDING HOUSING ON PALESTINIAN LANDS and shoving the true owners of that land, the Palestinians, out onto the street.
In addition, America has guaranteed nearly a Trillion Dollars in loans so Isreal can build even more towns on Palestininan lands.

A non muslim who had a major position in an Arab government. Tariq Aziz was quite prominent when Saddam Hussein was on power and he was a reported to be a Christian.
