There is no way ghana will walk over the USA. They had a good game against the czechs but that doesn't mean they are a better team than the czechs. The USA is a better team then they let on in the Czech Republic game and they showed that by holding off Italy with only 9 men. USA 2- Ghana 0. Italy 2- Czechs 1. Which will mean Italy will qualify first followed by the Americans.

I also think Italy and Ghana will go thru. As for USA and Czech Rep being ranked highest, I'm not sure when you asked this question, but at present Italy and Czech Rep are ranked highest. It is simply numbers based on the results of the games. Thus far, Group E has become the most difficult to predict because the teams are playing so out of character (or at least beyond expectations). Ghana is representing Africa to the max and I wish them well.

Well the way it looks as of Monday the 19th, the two best bets would be Italy and the USA. Italy doesn´t have to win against the Czech Republic but it would make them the sure #1 in the group. That being said, the USA only needs to beat Ghana, which if you watched the way the USA played against Italy, is very much possible. Ghana did have a terrific game against the Czechs but remember one of there best players and the man who scored on the USA first was out. I think Ghana surprised an over confident Czech team. The USA will burst out and beat Ghana fairly easily

Most likely you are right, Italy and Ghana. I think the Czechs usually play better than the Italians these days. Their game against the USA was typical of their recent performances, while Italy's game against the USA was also typical. So by rights the Czechs should be able to beat the Italians, but with their two star strikers benched because of injuries and several other players benched for the next game because of yellow and red cards, the Czechs willl be playing with only about half of their first string squad, so I give the nod to Italy. Ghana played fabulously against both Italy and the Czechs, and should walk all over the USA, which has yet to score a goal in the tournament.

Honestly, after watching the US v Italy game I gotta give it to Italy in the number one spot and US in the number two. Ghana is a great team and they played great vs. Czechs but look at the way the cup has gone so far. The great teams come out flat and then they play a good second game. I think Italy will win against the Czechs since they don't have that 6' 8'' forward and I think the US will give everything they have in this last chance situation....and even if the US loses I promise half of Ghana's team will be ineligible to play from yellow cards...

Ghana and Italy will come out of the group.
It is funny to think that the USA team can even withstand this Ghanain team let alone beat them to qualify from the group. After watching this team play Czech republic i have no doubt they will beat the USA. Ghana is a very powerful soccer nation and in the past has been regarded as the Brazilians of Africa football. They are superb in midfield and their ball distribution is so good.
The italians are also very good and if they play their own football, They may either draw with Czech or win to sail through the group stages.

The USA has a decent chance, but I think at the moment Ghana is looking the strongest. I think that the Czech's were very unfortunate in their game against Ghana, but Ghana deserved the win. I think Italy will go through second, with Ghana winning the group.

Well, first I thought Italy and the Czechs are gonna have an easy ride in this group. But watching Ghana played today against the Czechs i think they have a good chance to go to the 2nd round. Italy will go through. But i don't know between ghana and Czech Republic. Still hoping for Italy and Czech.

The easy money is on italy and ghana. I've always wanted to ghana do well, but I think the us's experiance and attitude adjustment after the czech loss will make it much more harder for them. I want to see McBride benched for not getting any dangerous shots on goal. Bring on the young bloods, Johnson if you like or Ching. When you don't have a solid defense the best thing to do is attack again and again and again. They nearly gave it back in the last ten minutes. Italy won't let the Czechs get so luck as the Stateside boys. Italy is a lock as long as they don't tie it will give the U.S. a chance to push Brazil.

Ok, lets just make this simple. The U.S.'s game against the Czech was about the worst I've ever seen them play. They came out slow, sloppy, and acted like they had not a care in the world and were unfocused. AFter that game i believe the U.S. is going to keep getting better and playing to their true potential, which is being an extremely good team. They showed signs of it against Italy, but with the ref ruining that game with the cards, the U.S. got screwed of any opportunity. Even with 9 men, they had a few chances to pull ahead. I think it will be Italy and the U.S. qualifying because of what those two teams are capable of. Yes, Ghana had a good game against the Czechs, but the Czechs were lazy. Italy and U.S., thats the bottom line.
