I asked my college Computer class Proffessor before I bought my Compaq Laptop (not the same model). He frowned when I said Compaq, but then his attitude changed when I said laptop. He told me they make pretty good laptops. I've had mine for 6 months now, and it gets used ALOT! I have a 10 year old son who won't stay off it. No problems here, we love it!

The good: Comfortable keyboard and pointer controls; attractive; a boatload of options.

The bad: Heavy and bulky; slow performer; superslow 3D graphics.

The bottom line: This slow but highly configurable and pleasant-to-use bargain notebook is a good choice for businesses on a budget.
