NO!!! I don't want one government controlling the world, but I know(the Bible) that in the end-times that is gonna happen, and all the Christians will be persecuted and put to death. I don't want to speed that along any more than necessary.

No way. First of all for somebody to be leader of the entire world they would have had to do some pretty terrible things to get to the top. Would you really want anybody "qualified" to run it? If there was one world then all boarders would basically be opened...can you imagine if groups like the Al Queda could go wherever they wanted? The government could never be overthrown...
I think a global currency may be beneficial....but the world is way too different. If you have ever traveled to somewhere obsecure you would realize it...you cannot just force people to combine.
Nevertheless there will be another Hitler one day

Nope. People in the world are VERY different from us. Many of them simply do not have what it takes to accept our enlightened values and successful model for living in the world. They would be nothing but trouble. Seperation from these people is important.
Multiply what is going on in Iraq and afghanistan by a thousand and you have what a global government would be like. That's if you are lucky.
If you are unlucky then you will get what the UN wants as a global government....a sick communist dictatorship where the genocide of hundreds of millions of innocent people is a common every day occurance and the rest of the world lives in slavery, poverty and starvation.

Consider how many resources are wasted spying on / fighting with neighboring countires a single world wide government would eliminate waste and needless death. Our Species as a whole would benefit emensly. It's very important that this world wide government still be elected by the people and subject to revision and alteration as per the will of the people. A world-wide dictatorship for instance could be catastrophic for all people.

Not a global government, but a confederation of the World's richer democracies instead of the UN might be a good way to go. The EU countries, the rest of "free" Europe, the U.S., Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Israel, South Korea, and a few others might be the way to go.

It is a wonderful dream, but has many flaws. We are accustomed to freedom, and most governments in the world don't allow as much freedom as we have. Should we therefore take over the globe? Many others do not share our beliefs, so that would make it difficult.
I don't think we will have a successful world government for at least 433 years.

I fear wars would start all over the place if that was ever put into play. It would be difficult for governments to cease to allow another to come in and completely take over. The security of millions would come across as unimportant and those people would try to fight to keep their government.
Afterall, if another form of government was forced on us in the U.S. wouldn't we be upset? We already seem to be testing the waters on this.. as some believe, but Bush didn't make enemies overnight, sadly. I believe this is one of his objectives, and NO.. bottom line.. I do not want to see it happen. www.impeachbush.org

i haven't any faith, as I mentioned in this YA, they are all sacrilegous as long as they invented a smaller human-like God. yet worldwide government, like rock and roll, is right here to stay. I basically ask, who must be on the lead? 365 days in the past people could say G W Bush. Jews could die if the chosen one have been the Pope (sorry, God). Berlusconi? perchance. we would have sturdy laughs besides. Kim the ill guy? provided that he replaced his hair-do. Who is primary with of, a king? Ah, this could supply us some pomp and condition. ok. I supply myself with the aid of fact the King of the worldwide. My first act would be loose holidays in Disney worldwide for all my sudits, financed by making use of Mr Bernie Madoff.

If we cannot trust our leaders in this country to do their jobs, just how do you propose we trust a world government. Would you want your next leader to be from the Saudi Royal family. Oh! excuse me we already have an adopted brother of the house of Saud in the White House now. How silly of me to let that slip my mind.

NO! Everyone thought the UN would be great and it has been a total flop. Our government has worked over 200 years, a few whiners is no reason to change it.
