Here is their website. They have lots of links to contests, articles, contact the Editor. I just did a cursory look. I think you may be able to find the protocol for submitting articles and such.

If I were you I would contact Readers Digest. Someone there should be able to put you in touch with the right people. It may take a while. I'm sure will talk to several different people before talking to the right one. Good Luck.

Writers are generally humble people... they don't just jump out and say that their writing is "profound".

write them a query letter to find out if they are presently taking submissions and ask for the guidelines... DO NOT forget to include a SASE
