ok let me tell you what my bff is trying to convince me.. just about every bra has that underwire stuff on the bottem of the bra now that wire is "very bad for your skin", when you sleep with your bra on the wire some how makes contact with your bones and infects them. my mom says you really should even sleep with your bra bc its so uncomfortable, but when im at a friends house on a slepover its a little embaressing to be without it for me (if she ask's i use the i forgot excuse) but if you can take it off do it, because every myth wwas made up for a reason, bottem line dont sleep with your bra.

The idea behind this is when you sleep with a bra (or other restrictive clothing) the mammary glands circulation is cut off. The obvious question because if it's not "safe" to wear restrictive clothing at night, why would it be safe to do so in the morning?

The counter argument is that when we don't wear bras to support the breast, there is significant stretching under the tissue, especially for top-heavy women. This, in turn, causes the breast(s) to develop scar tissue which can cancer cells can hide behind. It is especially difficult to see cancer cells in women with fibrocystic breast disease which is why there is a higher risk for women diagnosed with it.

The other risk is underarm deodarant. There has been some question about the chemicals in deodarant causing or being linked to breast cancer.

If you are interested, research "zinc and breast cancer" or "deodarants and breast cancer." Consider the source and why they would take the position they do on a particular subject.

Good luck
