JuJu~~ no matter which position I sleep in I always have vivid dreams. I am trapped in REM when I sleep, ever since I gave birth to my daughter. I am always waiting to hear if she wakes up......always there to jump up if need be. But, this causes me to discover such creepy things about my subconscious mind. Last night was freaky.......and it felt SO REAL. I sometimes wonder if the life I am living now is a dream and my 'dream world' is what is actual. *shrugs* I've given up trying to figure it out....I just go with it.

YES! I know this is an old post, but I just had to answer it. YES YES YES! I thought I was the only one in the world that notice this. When I sleep on my left side I have much more vivid dreams and easy dream recall than sleeping on my stomach. I think it has to do with the gravity when sleeping on the left side. The neurotransmitters that cause dreams is dripping from the right side of the brain into the left side of the brain causing better dreams and dream recall. It s only a crazy theory of mine. More research needs to be done on this.

YES!!! I almost always sleep on my stomach because it is the most comfortable position for me. I always have dreams. But sometimes I fall asleep on my back and I almost always have nightmares.

Recently I realized that when I sleep on my back I snore and have more difficulty breathing. This does not happen when I am on my stomach. I think getting less oxygen when I sleep might cause me to have nightmares! I wonder if that is possible for you too?

nope never experienced that but i noticed that i have vivid dreams only when i get to sleep early. i heard before that the environment where you sleep in can cause you to have either nightmares or dreams. if you hear an alarm while sleeping, chances are youd dream about fires, arrests, etc

When I first left my ex husband it didn't matter what position I was in, my nightmares were strange, bazaar and very vivid. Haven't noticed that lately or in any position. :)

Never studied such a thing. I don't remember. I turn and toss while sleeping.
