I use them while moving out of my house to another, I use newspaper in between to protect items
I burn it into woodfire while going out on campings, it's the most practical item. You can sit onto it, it's more confortable than on the floor.
In far time, during the last world war, I've heard stories of people taking the news paper into their shirt, to protect themselves from cold weather while doing some bicycle. Not everyone had a car à that time.
News paper is very funny to use for kids, for example my child is copying it even if hasn't already learned to write. News papers are very interesting for kids, there is lots of big letters, colours... It's fun for them
We can make carnival clothes with it. At school, it's very useful
Otherwise, I throw it in the garbage bean

I cut the articles I wish I wish to save and the comic strips I wish to keep. If there are any photos I find amusing and that I may think of a use for, I will cut those out as well. At the end they get recycled, if the newspapers are mine. These days I read the newspaper at the coffeeshop and at the library.

I take recycling very seriously, so I don't get a newspaper. I prefer to get all of my news articles on line. It's quick, it's customizable and I get stories and news from around the world...not just the tiny little bit I happen to live in.

I always used to recycle. Now in this new city they do not pick up newspapers, glass, plastics, etc. I was always a good recycler.
I resent the fact that I get all these flyers on my doorstep/mailbox and "I" have to be responsible for them.
No way!!
Once the city has a program in place for pickup at door, then I will gladly do my bit.

you can recycle them and we use them to change the bedding in our bird cages. Another idea is donate them to the pet shelter. They use newspaper in all their cages. It would be a free thing you could do for the homeless animals.
