its the same as anywhere else, its got its awesome spots, and its spots that are in shambles. boston, washingtong DC, L.A., Dallas, Seattle, Miami, its the same everywhere you go. dont worry about it.

Its a great city I agree. The problem I think most people have with it is the people. People in NYC seem to be the most direct of anywhere I have ever been and it can rub some people the wrong way if they are not used to it or understanding of different communication styles. They are also loud talkers which again may turn people off.

People are jealous of such a huge metropolitan and historic area. For example I live in Cali but I'm a little envious of the city lifestyle and diversity NY has to offer. Only I'm not prideful like most of us, I will actually admit it lol.

I like N.Y never ben there b4 but plan to someday. But maybe people don't like it because of the weather

I live in NYC and it is THE CITY! I love it! it's awesome, we have so much diversity, different cultures and all they can bring to a society.
Some people do not like NYC mostly because it's not suit for them, it's crowded, busy, hectic, so it's not for everybody. But I just love it! :-D

People are naturally jealous of what they don't have.
NYC has more choices of restaurants, museums, entertainment, jobs, etc. than nearly any other place in the world.

i think becasue it is so crowed and busy. i would not mind living there i live in maine. i have no problem with new york i watch law and order svu, nyci, and other show involving new york i would be a little nervous in the city though.

i take a truck to NY city occasionally and while i admit it is interesting and people have always treated me well i can't understand how you all live with no elbow room
