On a beach in Dorset, England. A very quiet afternoon. Then I did my regular stint gardening for an elderly couple and it was only when we were sharing our customary cup of tea later that the husband started describing what had happened. Going home later I noticed the doors of our church open and the inside packed with people praying. The BBC cancelled all comedy and light entertainment programmes for a week. Our hearts went out to all those innocents, their families and the amazing rescue services.

I was at home. My husband was watching the news after his mother told him to turn the TV on. I watched the first Twin Tower get hit by a plane and wondered if this was some kind of joke, and then when the second Tower got hit, I knew nobody was joking.

well i was living in New Jersey at the time. I had a job interview that morning. Normally i dont listen to the radio or watch tv so while getting ready i had no clue what was going on. When i got in my car i had a C.D. i had just bought the night before so I played the whole way to the interview. When i got to my interview site the whole place was a mad house. People were running around trying to get home, go pick up there kids and just madness. We'll i finally found out what happened and rushed home and sat infront of the TV the next few days.

The devil it's real in that picture, but it doesn't meant that it was real in 'real life'. If you understand what I mean....the person who edited this picture wanted us to believe that the devil was there. Anyone with some photoshop (photo editing software) knowledge can add anything to a photo. You should see the photos I have created with this programme. However, the questions leads us to another philosophical arena: if the devil exists then why is he there? After all, God is the one who should be there to save the souls of those people. Honestly, sometimes people are gullible, but I think suggesting that the devil was in the twin towers when they collapsed is the same as saying that everyone in those building went to hell. Before posting this questions...think!!!! This is a very sensitive issue.

I had just got home from school (in the UK), and my mum came flying in, leaving the car running in the driveway and the front door open, just running for the tv to put the news on.
I hadn't even heard anything had happened but she told me that they had made an annoucement about it over the speakers at the supermarket when she was buying milk!
I sat up all night watching the reports on Sky news. A horrible horrible day.

I was in the shower when the first tower got hit. I was getting ready to go to a Tuesday/Thursday anthropology class in my first year at college. I got out of the shower, was towel-drying my hair and turned on CNN for the first video camera shots of the first plane coming in. My first thought was "that's the world trade center; are they showing scenes from action movies on CNN now?" Then as I was watching, they showed the second plane come in and hit. That's when it got weird.

i was in school, 7th grade. i was the first one to show up to my science class and my teacher told me that a plane had hit one of the world trade center buildings. we had no idea what was going on because all we had in class was a small radio. the school kept up away from any televisions because many of the students parents worked in the wwt ( i live in brooklyn ny) by the time we all got home it was a kind of surreal thing, because stuff like this never happened in real life only on tv, yet now we know that it can happen in real life as well.

I remember it well .. I was in Greenville, Maine.. in the back of a truck, helping a family move into their new home. They had just relocated to the area from somewhere in Georgia.. they told us to drop what we were doing and come watch the news.. one of the people on the moving crew had a sister working near Wall Street. (she was unhurt, but moved away asap) Very tragic unforgettable moment indeed. I am sure your question will get a lot of responses.

I was working in a hospital in Saudi Arabia. That was really scary, especially the way the Arabs at the time reacted. All the ex pats were just gob smacked that people would actually be happy seeing people attacked and killed. Not a pleasant day.
