The easiest and most simplest way to tell is to look at your computer, where the monitor plugs into it. If there is another Female VGA port next to the one your monitor is plugged into, then yes it does. Certain video cards (ATI) will have both a VGA and a DVI (which is the "funny-looking" port) those are dual-monitor but you'll probably need a converter.

The quickest and easiest way to find out is to right-click your desktop, and click "Properties", and go to the "Settings" tab, where you would normally go to alter your screen resolution. If you see two "screens" on the preview, then you can support dual monitors. If you only see one, then you can only support one.
Sometimes, however, you can upgrade your video card's drivers and be able to support dual monitors. Do this if you don't see the dual monitor option, as it may add it with the driver upgrade.

Or just look at the back of ur computer at ur video card.
The monitor ur using shoud be hooked to the VGA port.(Blue)
If it has a DVI port(white) then u can add another monitor that has dvi connecter or get a adaperter that makes it a vga.
