Since babies grow up, I suggest not putting anything on walls but rather decorating with draperies, pictures and bedding. Floor rugs for baby's rooms are pretty cool too. I did yellow walls and did a border of blue/white baby ducks by Guess and I kinda wish I hadn't since my boy grew out of it. I love blue, white and yellow, cars are cute. I think a lot of the home sites have pictures of rooms.

It depends what you like. You could do a sports theme, cars, teddy bears, animal safari, Peter Rabbit, Winnie the Pooh, Blue Jean Teddy, etc.

Stars in the sky, and dolphins in the sea, for sweet dreams and smiles everywhere!

You can use blues and yellows--nice cheerful colors. Non commercial and unique. Paint the walls blue, and add luminescent stars. (A friend stuck some of those on my bedroom wall years ago as a joke--I love them! They glow when the room is dark). Have dolphins frolicking around near the floor, and below eye level.

Get dolphlin lamps, and star accessories...Hmm, I like this idea so much, I think I'll use it in my bedroom!

Any theme that uses bright vivid colors and gives the child objects to focus on that would be indicative of early life education. Objects like brightly colored, (and accurately colored) animals, Numbers and letters.

Children's eyes are not strong enough at a very young age to decipher pale and pastel colors. Therefor vivid colors and good contrasting schemes help a child's developing eyes.

John Deere Tractors, all boys love cars, tractors, lawn mowers. My son is 3 and he has loved John Deere farm equipment since he was able to start playing. I would bet it would be a good theme for years to come.

Space and space travel. You can use cool colors ... blues and purples with splashes of red, yellow, and orange. Stars, planets, other astronomical bodies, rockets, and other space travel vehicles are all so very fun. It also indicates a focus on the future, adventure, exploration, and intelligence. Whatever you decide, have fun with your new son!! Good luck from a high school math and science teacher. :-)

well for my son I have a jungle theme like most people suggested already its real cute and not hard to accessorize with. You can buy lion, monkey, giraffe and elephant stuff animals can decorate the room with it. paint the room green blue or white and put jungle wall stickers. Plus wood furniture goes excellent with it. Hope you find what your looking for :)
