assuming your school has a chapter, you will automatically be nominated when you meet the GPA standards. You will then have to prove that you meet the other standards (citizenship, service) etc. and you will be evaulated by a committee of teachers. Should you pass that evaluation, you will be invited to join. (So don't tick off any teachers!)

For my school you had to have a 95 or higher cumulative average going into your junior year. At that point you would be invited to join. Once in you had to complete 40 hours of community service.

what ^ they said. both of them are correct. I'm on the Delta Epsilon Tau International Honor Scoiety, and believ you me, it was NOT easy. I didn't even know I had been nominated, I just worked really hard....it is quite an honor. b out of 15000 kids in my school, only 200 made it.

You have to be nominated. To do that, and to ensure getting in, get good grades, in my school your average has to be a 90 or above, I believe. You also have to have community service and extra-curricular activities done. Not necessarily sports.

You have to fill out a paper, then give them phone numbers of people for them to call and see if your "worthy" enough and everything else that you fill out on the paper.
Also you have to have excellent grades
