I watched a Star Trek episode were they were stuck in a Casino/Hotel. It was based on a Book and the ending was Foreign investors Buying the Casino/Hotel. The Book said they were VERY Generous Investors. ;-)
Some of the most impressive people I have known about were the Rich Eccentrics of days gone by. Unlike those today that try to be the Richest man in the world. These men got their "Kicks" Blowing peoples minds with money, cars, etc. BUT, they also knew the people were in need. So, with all this mumbo-jumbo said; I would keep $1 million and have a blast giving the rest away. I would travel the world and get to know the REAL people. True much be here in the good ol' USA, but, there good people everywhere and I do have friends in other countries.

100 Million? I most certainly would share some with the less fortunate. BUT , it would be with those here in the USA. This is where I live, and I really don't sound to be mean but I see ALL these ads on TV about give here, give there, and all the money is for kids or some group in another country. While overall I feel bad for these people, WE HAVE PEOPLE right here in the USA that have it almost as bad if not worse. So I would do some things here before anyone or any place else.

i dont play the lottery because i have no desire for 100 million dollars. winning 100 million dollars doesnt make you a succesful person or build your character at all.
so, i honestly think i would give it all away. and NO I wouldnt give it to the snotty nosed kids in the United States! most Americans cant even fathom how good they have life because theyve never known anything else. What about those people in Africa that you see on TV? Those are real people! What about the citizens of 3rd world countries who have zero hope of ever living a life above very low paying manual labor? At least the American poor have the freedom of speach and religion. They can walk into a McDonalds and have a big mac. They might be able to join the military and totally escape from poverty. Even if they cant there are zillions of governmnet programs to help them out. And even if they live in the most dire of circumstances it is still a whole world better for them than for those in 3rd world countries.
Now, you cant just throw money at something. You have to have a good understanding of the culture and know the best way to spend your money to help. If you just give people 100 million dollars you could end up doing them more harm than good. So you have to educate yourself. ..A good default answer might be to get in touch with a Christian charity and see what ideas they might have.
But definatly not Americans! We are so spoiled its ridiculous. and even the most poor of us are standing on the backs of people in less developed countries. Just like the rich people in America stand on our (the working class) backs.
the best way to spend that kind of money is to educate yourself!

Sometimes the less fortunate is right around you - your own family and friends. I would however assist at home in my country starting with the homeless, the children's home, the old folks home, youth development, contribute towards education and health issues. As well as assist in any small way by donating to an existing fund or cause in a much needy country.

I'd share it with those who have ideas on supporting the whole, whether they are poor or not. You can give anything to a poor, but if that poor doesn't use it to benefit himself and others, then it was useless. Who deserves it more is those that care more about the earth and the intelligence to make all things easier for everyone, and so to have them make the decision, and it will automatically fall among the poor. Any other investment would be one of lesser quality.

First: pay off all my debts, them all my Moms Debt, then take care of everyone in my family that needs things, ie, my brother a new work truck, things like that.
then build a very nice apartment complex for homeless family's and put restrictions and rules for being able to live there, like they must get a job now that they have an address, they must make sure that their kids are going to school, they must get their own GED's or similar if they do not already have them. all of the utility's will be paid by me, and they will have like 5 years to get out on their own so that another family can be helped. also, something like any drug use or other illegal activity will cause them and their family to get tossed back out on the street. that should use up all the winnings,so I would also end up having to start a foundation or something along those lines to help.

Actually I would rather set up charities to help people in need. Handing out money won't solve peoples problems, but setting up programs to improve peoples lives would go a lot further with the money.
Regardless of country, no one should have to starve, but in many countries where people do starve. It's due to a Government that doesn't care about it's people, and insist on not accepting foreign aid.

Well, it would be a very hard choice. If I ever got that much money, I would go to homeless people on our streets in America and hand out some of my fortune. I know that they were trully the most unfortunate.

You better believe it,i would. But the government with their so called low taxes would take the most of it. As long as i had plenty left over, not to ever have to worry about my financial difficulties,i would try to start something up for people to make their own living somewheres. And at the same time, feed them for a while to get them started on their own feet.
Then maybe, some of that money would trickle to others,as to whatever they made to sell,or do some work for those that are working. But then, that would depend on their government,as to what they let me do.
