"I Write Sins Not Tragedies" is the first single by the pop punk/electronica band Panic! At The Disco, from the album A Fever You Can't Sweat Out (2005). It was released on February 27, 2006 on both compact disc and 7 inch vinyl. The song was written by Ryan Ross.
This is Panic! at the Disco's first single to be made into a music video. The video for the song takes place in a strange, circus-themed wedding. The video starts as the bride and groom are getting ready for the wedding. The woman, who is just about to get married, runs out after arguing with her boyfriend, most likely asking him why he invited these circus freaks to the wedding. One of the clowns runs after her. The leader of the circus freaks, and lead singer of the band, Brendon Urie leads the man outside, where his girlfriend and the clown who pursued her out of the church are kissing. The clowns put on sad faces, yet their face painted faces still look like they are smiling. Urie and the man bow to the camera, and the man becomes the new leader of the circus freaks. It is unknown what happens to Urie.

It's about a wedding that went wrong. The bride was cheating on the groom the whole time. It's also about believing in things that don't exist.
