keep your eye on the ball and swing fast. Get as far in on the plate as you safely can. That way you can at least catch a piece of it. Its your bat speed you need to increase. Try hitting skittles and let someone time you (seriously) Let them see how long it takes for you to swing and get back into stance to be ready for the next one. The skittles help your accuracy because they are small and the bright colors help you to see them. It will help your speed guaranteed. See how long it takes you to hit ten and then start over and try to beat your own speed. Do this over and over. IT works.

Don't go to the plate with swing sooner in your mind. That will make you highly suseptible to anything off speed the pitcher has. Just focus on identifying the pitch and take your swing. Do not take a monsterous hack at a fastball because that actually tends to be a slower swing. Its all about getting your bat quickly though the zone.Nice short, quick swing. If the pitcher throws very hard they will supply the power.
Use the same short quick swing on offspeed pitches too. Just keep your hands back because once they have started its too hard to reset in time.

The same way that you hit off of any pitcher. It just requires a little more concentration and bat speed. You may want to stand back toward the catcher a little more than usual. That gives you a little more time to see the baseball. Always track the ball from the pitchers hand all the way to the bat. Don't try to kill it , just make contact. You have to be a hitter before you can be a power hitter. It doesn't hurt to crowd the plate a little bit because if the pitcher is afraid of hitting you he may take a little speed off of his pitch. Hope this helps , lotsa luck to ya and don't forget ...PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE

Here is a tip on to hit a fast pitcher. While your on-deck time him. Watch him while he pitches to the batters before you. Imangine that you are up and he is pitching to you. So get you hands back earlier and be ready to swing. And pay attention to how he is pitching every batter becuse so pitchers pitch the same to every batter so see how he might pitch you. But the best thing you can do is work hard in the batting cages and with you hitting coach if you have one. Your swing is all muscle memory. The way you hit in the cage, will transform to the way you hit in a game. So good luck.

The instant the ball leaves the pitchers hand try to determine its movement and swing early in the direction you think its heading.

You have to be focused and have confidence. Stand closer to the plate and make sure you have a good swing. Just make sure you are ready to have quicker bat speed. C Holla you dont sit back against faster pitchers!

Lower your hands and have a flat bat. Batters tend to let their bat go straight up and down, than when the pitch is thrown they will move their hands and flatten out their bat. That takes about 1/2 of a second to do, so start your swing from that position to begin with. It works... I promise.
