Not necessarily. Many companies will do group interviews if more than one person will be contributing the hiring decision. When I interviewed at a new school district they did a group interview so that a teacher from each grade that had an opening could ask me a question and place me appropriately. You don't know you have the job until you get offered. Be confident, not cocky.

Unfortunately no. One thing a group interview does is give the company a better perspective of how you react under pressure. Each person will ask a question while the others evaulate your reactions, and on how you answered the question. The company may be looking for specific interests and group interviews gives a wider perspective of the person. Be yourself, don't be nervous of group interview and good luck

Unfortunately, when you are asked to a group interview, it does not always mean that you are to be hired for the job. It is merely a good way for a company to ascertain if you will "fit the profile" for the company's interest. It also means that a wider range of thought is covered in the process because members of the interviewing panel have different areas of expertise.

Not necessarily! That may just be that company's way of conducting their interviews. I have been interviewing for teaching positions since March, and every interview has been different. Some schools like to have just the principal conduct the interview, and sometimes the principal will call in the assistant principals and (in one case) coaches as well.

Not necessarily - my company does a group interview for the first interview. If they like you, then you will interview with the managers individually in subsequent interviews. Good luck in your job search!

No, not always. Bigger company's hold group interviews. They observe how you interact with other people. Your personality, etc.
It's also easier for them, if hiring a large amount of employee's to evaluate as a group.
