My kids say:

"See you later, alligator"
"See you later, kangaroo!"
(My youngest, when he was little, tried to make a joke with kangaroo instead of crocodile)

he had me in a firm grip but luckily the gator was shaking my hand and not biting it with those teeth, so yes ive said it and ive lived to tell the story
