Oh!! That is painful! Take aspirin it reduces the inflammation in the skin and help with the pain. Also you can put aloe, vinegar, or Noxzema on the burn and it cools it. soak in a cool, not cold bath.

I have suffered through MANY severe sunburns... coat it with vinegar..i use white vinegar..then let it dry.. i do this about 3 times(at least) let that sit for a while then use solarcaine with aloe in it..these two steps take the heat out and make it bearable. You can repeat this as needed
if your burn was peeling the same day you got it then you have second degree burns and should probably consult a physician for a cream

If you want to take it away completely there is several ways you can do this. First go to store and buy yourself Aveeno Oatmeal bath.Take a bath Put the water as hot as you can stand it soak in there for about 30 minutes it will take alot of the heat away from your skin, next you want to get yourself a can of solarcaine since it has lidocane in it , it will temp relive the burn then last take some lemon juice and put it on a warm rag and rub it aroun the burn.

Use cool cloths on sunburned areas.
Take frequent cool showers or baths.
Apply soothing lotions that contain aloe vera to sunburned areas. Topical steroids (such as 1% hydrocortisone cream) may also help with sunburn pain and swelling. Note: Do not use the cream on children younger than age 2 unless your doctor tells you to. Do not use in the rectal or vaginal area in children younger than age 12 unless your doctor tells you to.

Just make sure you don't use any lotions that have purfumes in them. Stick with aloe gel, thats probably the best. Then try cocoa butter. Keep lathering so your skin doesn't get dried out and painful.

When my me and my family came home from Schlitterbahn two days ago, me and my little brother had serious sunburns. My mom bought Lanacane. It's this spray and it cools the sunburn and starts to heal it. It'll take a while, but it's worth it, and it doesn't sting.
