If leaves people in a stage of suspension that is very stressful.

"IF" causes a lot of heartaches because it leaves everyone in suspension, including the person using it. That word spells uncertainty. It is dependent on whims. It is worse than saying no. It is a cover up for people who want to confuse others or lie to others. Even at times when the user is not willingly a lier, it denotes him as such. We really should use that word less often.
Goshe! "IF" is really a heart-breaker!

If, but and when cause heartache because they indicate that our wishes may not come true. For instance, when we want something very much, feel we must have that something, we want it unconditionally, there and then! When someone points out to us that we can have it 'if', 'but' and 'when' our cerebrum (thinking part of our brain registers the fact that this something really depends on conditions that we may not meet. Thus it creates a state of anxiety and sadness, hence the heartbreak!

the word "if" is uncertain, people hate uncertainty. people (myself included) cannot handle the fact that something may or may not happen, it's easier to deal with something when it's definate.

this is why:
I am not an if,
if this, and if that.
never do I wish,
I to be an if...
I AM
and that's that.

With that said, it's all about unconditional love, and how can you be worthy of that, if you are an if??

. . . because so many people dwell on what could have been (or what they could have had) rather than be grateful for (and accept) what they already have.
