well although they r 2 different issues I do understand ur confusion about why it is not legal 4 same sex marriages.I feel it is wrong 2 keep 2 people who love each other from commiting in marriage,but unfortunately the sane people dont always make the laws and there r still way 2 many people who feel that it is ok 2 sensor what other people do.but u know those r the same idiots who hate when someone sensors them.

neither do i. killing a baby is far worse than marrying someone of the same sex. it goes to show you the world is ****** up. the bible also states that murder is wrong and abortion is murder, so you can't argue about that situation. same sex marriage will eventually become legal it's only a matter of time

Because government for some reason has never been able to separate religion from government!
IF the present administration would stick to the constitution and leave religion the hell out of things and "his so-called morals" gay couples could have what it is they want!
I am not gay, I am striaght. BUT I believe that if ANY couple wants to marry, gay or not, they have that right and NO ONE in government has the right to dictate what morals should or should not be! That is personal between the two parties and the government has no business invovling themselves in the personal lives of anyone.

Both things should be legal! We don't want the government making our personal choices for us! Trust me this administration would like to make abortion illegal too! Instead of moving forward, we are starting to revert back!

People also want to legalize drugs, but those same people think gay marriage should never be legalized. It doesn't make any sense to me. I think too many people are just extremely homophobic or something. They think that if they allow gay marriage it will start some sort of "gay epidemic." I think they view being gay/lesbian as some sort of disease or something. They're just ignorant and close-minded.

I think it is because parts of America are very puritan and believe the Bible totally. They feel that same sex marriage is forbidden in the Bible.

good point and I don't have an answer for you. if murder is ok why is sodomy outlawed. I am not an advocate of same sex marriage but it does appear to be a double standard.
